Our family moved into the house next door to Maisie and Keith all the way back in the summer of 1980. Over the next decades, my parents in particular got to know them as dear friends, who they could always rely on for support and understanding. My Dad passed away in 2021, and Mum has had advanced Alzheimer's for the last few years and sadly can no longer remember much of the previous forty years, but I do know that they both always felt extremely lucky to have such caring neighbours. On a personal level, I also feel very fortunate to have grown up as a child with their constantly kind and reassuring presence. I've known Maisie for so long, it is going to feel very strange that she isn't still close by. My sincerest condolences to all of her loved ones.
